It has been announced by the Ministry of Culture that to mark The Queen's sixty years on the throne, an official medal will be awarded to personnel in the Armed Forces, Emergency Services and Prison Service who have completed five full calendar years of service on 6 February 2012.
Toye, Kenning and Spencer have a long tradition in supplying miniature medals and are a licensed supplier of miniature medals to the Ministry of Defence. This quality Diamond Jubilee miniature medal is die struck and assembled in our Birmingham factory and has been approved by the Ministry of Defence Medal Office and has been passed for licensing by MOD IPR.
Under the terms of the license this medal is not available for despatch until the second week of January 2012. The miniature itself cannot be worn until 7th February 2012, (6th Feb is also the anniversary of the death of the late King George VI and is not a suitable date to be celebrated).
As such, we are now pleased to take advance orders for the miniature medal.
